THE EXERCEO PROCESS

Everyone’s fitness journey is different. Your goals and needs are unique, and your fitness regimens should reflect them.

Exerceo has distinguished itself by providing personalized and fulfilling exercise programs that achieve results. My methods are unlike the conventional training found at traditional gyms - here’s how:

  1. Exerceo takes the training and coaching to you, and is exclusively dedicated to working with you at your:

    • Home • Home gym • Outdoor space • Remote space

These environments facilitate the mitigation of distractions from our training, and help keep the focus on your goals.

  2. Exerceo takes an integrative approach to fitness, recognizing and reinforcing the correlation between physical fitness and overall health: this holistic approach is evident in every facet of our training,

  3. Exerceo always takes a Safety First approach to training and coaching: health and safety are founding hallmarks of Exerceo, and with the prevalence of the COVID-19 pandemic still creating risks, I maintain enhanced measures to ensure these standards.

  4. Emphasis on Real Life Body Movements and Real Life Fitness: everyday life is full of challenging body movements, and doing abstract mechanical movements on machines sometimes can fail to be relevant in everyday life. In keeping with your goals, I aim to incorporate as many everyday movements and exercises into your program that will mean the most to you, and prepare you to be able to perform every day to be at your best at the top of your game! Real life means performing real life movements everyday!

  5. Exerceo has numerous specialties that include:

Couples Training: couples are often overlooked and underserved at gyms and health clubs. My unique ability and focus allows me to pivot seamlessly not only while training two people simultaneously, but also during back-to-back sessions.

Seniors Training: the need for strength training increases with age, and seniors are among the most highly motivated clients with whom I’ve had the privilege to work. I have extensive experience working with seniors of every age range and ability.

Training with Health Conditions and Injuries: many people have varying degrees of health conditions - be they medical, orthopedic or some combination. And many of them are quite complex and difficult to manage. During my career I have gained extensive experience working with clients with cancer, cardiac conditions, Multiple Sclerosis, orthopedic conditions, and Parkinson’s Disease, along with many other conditions. I am also trained in pre- and post-physical therapy training. My combination of empathy and experience provide me with the skills to empower clients who are prescribed exercise by their doctors, and those who know they need to exercise but feel that they cannot because of possible limitations.

  6. Exerceo has the expertise and tools to develop the roadmap to set and keep you on your fitness journey: having goals is essential, and so is having the desire to achieve them. Yet no end goal or destination on your journey is achievable without:

    • Vision

    • Preparation

    • Direction or Guidance

    • Fuel or Motivation

    • Attention to Detail

    • Focused Mindset

    • Perseverance

Preparing and guiding you is an invaluable part of my expertise that adds tremendous value to your training. I construct programs that are tailor-designed to your goals, with clarity, focus, mindset preparation and other essential elements required to maximize your efficiency. I place a premium on the time we have together and take it extremely seriously. Much like a ship that must reach a challenging destination, I will help you pinpoint your vision, help draw the map and guide you along it, and calibrate your fitness compass to help you reach new and sustainable levels of fitness.

Working Together: The Three Pillars

Every individual is unique, and what works for one person will likely not work exactly, or not even apply, for another person. Your program is custom-built with ONLY YOU in mind. I document your progress and share the details with you. I explain the reasons for specific exercises, their timing in the program, how they can benefit you, their progression and regression, and what to expect going forward. Your program is a partnership between us, and with our combined input and review evolves over time.

I call this process of our work together The Three Pillars - Here’s how it works:

  1. Foundation Building: this begins when we meet for your Fitness Assessment. This meeting begins the process of developing and building the foundation of our work together - much like building a house requires a sound and stable foundation. And as with any success that is achieved, commitment is the cornerstone. During this one-hour meeting, we discuss your specific goals, health history, and perform a series of screening exercises. The assessment serves as a gauge of your overall initial fitness and is the basis upon which I begin developing your program.

  2. Programming: once we have completed the assessment and I am entrusted with your fitness, I begin building your program. It will always reflect your specific objectives, and will take into account your strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities. Programs are always “works in progress,” flexible and evolving over time with your progress.

  3. Empowerment, Motivation, and Progression: empowering and motivating are two of the most rewarding and fun parts of what I do! This is where I help you tap into yourself to not only build physical strength and abilities, but develop confidence and mental strength. Even small, incremental progress in an achievement! It all counts and is measurable. The adage goes “Confidence Breeds Success - Success Breeds Confidence.” I help you figure out which comes first. It all begins with the proper mindset - the preparation that is all part of your program. But as I always tell my clients - you are accountable for your results. This requires your full commitment and being all-in on our work together.
